Art Michaelis Looking for relatives & descendants of Joseph PAWSON and his wife, Katherine "Kate" HILER and their family. They were living in Cheyenne City, WY and were married March 11, 1903. Kate used the name Mrs. Ellen BELCHER when she married, indicating a prior marriage. I would like to know more about this first marriage. Were there any children from it? Kate later married a Willaim THOMPSON and had several children by him. |

06:09:24 1996 My grandmothers parents emmigrated from sweden to America about 1910-1918. Her father (August Theodore Olsson) was a building worker (master builder). Her mother worked as a nurse during the outbreak of the Spanish Flu. Unfortunatly she contracted it herself and died on 2 october 1918. Karin Olsson was 34 years, 8 month, 10 days when she died. (August returned to Sweden). I have an envelope here from a Mrs Esther Ericsson, 1319 Kearney street Laramie, WY. I have been told by hearsay that she was a neighbour who wanted to buy a part of my grandmas grave. It's dated 14 July, 1953. Is it possible to find my great grandmas burial site? How do I do it? |

1996 I'm looking for information regarding early 1900's settlers to an area referred to in my family records as Calico County, WY which I believe to be in present day Laramie county. The town my g-grandfather John Wesley Van BENTHUYSEN & his fam. settled in was named Divide. He was struck by lightning and killed in August of 1811. Any info about the region would be greatly appreciated! |

| June Shaputis Fri Oct 25 23:02:26 1996 Anyone else out there researching for Charles Edward CLAY who served on the 1st Wyoming Legislature, his Brother, William CLAY, sister, Nannie Clay STEELE (Pioneer, buried in Cheyenne). Charles married Mary Agnes ABNEY in Cheyenne and was an early Suttlers Clerk at Fort Laramie, bullwhacker and freighter. Clay parked his wagons where Cheyenne city park is now. Charles had two daughters by an Ogalala Sioux Indian, Lulu Fingernail Woman named Susie CLAY and Emma B. CLAY that were raised by Clay's second wife, Mary Agnes ABNEY. Mary had children of her own by Charles CLAY. The Clays moved to Elma, Washington by the late 1890's. |

| Patti Horton Wed Oct 16 07:40:14 1996 I understand the need to limit the queries posted here, but living in Southeast Georgia - my husband's in the Navy- I've found the resources for researching my Wyoming ARNOLD family (mostly Goshen County) to be very limited. I was born in Torrington but my family lived in Lagrange before they either moved or passed away. My grandmother, ANNA MILDRED (DICKSON) ARNOLD did teach school in Laramie County and that was the school system all my grandparent's (CLETIS & ANNA ARNOLD) children attended. I would really appreciate any help I can get since I know so little about my ARNOLD/DICKSON family-my dad, HERMAN ARNOLD, was in the Navy and we moved around alot. I sincerely hope you can find it in your heart to post this, but if you can't, I'll understand. |

Oct. 14, 1996 There was a young man in our family who died on October 28, 1918 during the influenze epidemic. His name was Joseph P. JARTZ; he is buried at Olivet Cemetery in Laramie County, Wy. I need the address for the cemetery so that I may see if his wife, her name is unknown to me at this time, is also buried there. Joseph JARTZ was just 28 years of age when he died. He was a railroad fireman. Very, very little is known about this man. The obit that I have concerning him states that he died at his ranch at Isley/Islay. |
