Beginning Genealogy Classes Beginners' classes are held most months on the second Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Gates Conference Room on the 5th Floor of the Denver Public Library. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.; advance registration and reservations are not required. The classes are free and open to the public. Most classes are presented by Lou-Jean Rehn. The next class will be on 11 October. Pick the date you can attend. This is a one-time basic course for the beginner, repeated each month. Attendees will be introduced to thinking genealogically through the exploration of the following:
Attendees should dress comfortably. Consider bringing a seat cusion, bottled water, and a sack lunch (there will be a 30 minute lunch break). Upcoming scheduled beginners' classes are on:
Monthly Special Interest Classes Special Interest classes are held on the third Saturday of the month (except October and December) from 10:00 am
– 3:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Library Doors open at 9:00 am.

Holiday Break First Wednesday Aches and Pains Tours An "Aches and Pains" tour in the Denver metro area is normally offered on the first Wednesday of each month, but dates may vary. These short walking tours may of area cemeteries, libraries, archives, churches, historic buildings or neighborhoods, or other locations of local genealogical interest.
